A rare, limited edition, Ledaig 5 Year Old Madeira Cask Matured Single Malt inspired by the legendary Swordstone at Fionnphort Bay where the elemental forces of smoky peat and island air are met with the warmth of a full maturation in Madeira casks. TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Captivating aromas of sweet, earthy peat smoke rise from the glass, balanced by notes of sultana, candied orange peel, and honeyed malt. A gentle maritime saltiness weaves through rich layers of dried fruit and smouldering oak.

PALATE

Powerful yet refined, with signature Ledaig smoke wrapped in luscious Madeira sweetness. Flavours of charred pineapple and dark chocolate unfold alongside warm spice and a touch of treacle.

FINISH

Long, smoky, and indulgent with notes of burnt sugar and dried fig.

Legend tells of a giant's sword hurled into the sea, striking stone and setting it ablaze at Fionnphort Bay. Like the Swordstone, this rare Ledaig limited edition is shaped by elemental forces where peat smoke and island air meet the warmth of Madeira wine casks. Crafted from lore, inspired by Mull.

Like the Swordstone, Madeira wine is transformed by heat, shaped by ocean voyages, and steeped in history. A full, five year long maturation in Maderia casks has crafted a bold, maritime whisky softened by notes of honeyed fruit, burnt sugar, and citrus peel.

The Swordstone legend is all about impact - fire, force, and the meeting of elements - and Ledaig's smoky character gives us the perfect base for that. The Madeira casks build out the heat and richness: charred pineapple, dark chocolate, warm spice and treacle, all wrapped around that signature Ledaig peat smoke. There's a maritime thread running through it too, a little salt and burnt sugar on the finish. It's powerful but refined - a whisky that speaks to contrast, just like the story that inspired it.
