This limited edition Tobermory 11 Year Old Tawny Port & Oloroso Cask Single Malt tells the lore of the Blue Men, with flavours that shift from bright red fruit and sea-spray sweetness to warming spice and depth. Only 800 bottles exclusively available from our distillery shop and online store.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE

A beautifully layered bouquet of ripe red berries, plum compote, and soft citrus zest, intertwined with notes of honeyed malt and toasted almonds. Hints of dried fruit, gentle oak spice, and a touch of coastal sea breeze add depth and character.

PALATE

Silky and full, showcasing a harmonious balance between the rich, fruity sweetness of Tawny Port and the nutty, spiced elegance of Oloroso sherry. Waves of fig, cherry, and chocolate mingle with caramelised orange, cinnamon, and a touch of maritime minerality.

FINISH

Long and warming, with lingering notes of dark fruit, sweet oak, and a whisper of sea salt.

Off the coast of Mull, the Blue Men were said to sing to passing sailors - their voices rising like waves, smooth and seductive before turning wild and dark. The Ballad of the Blue Men limited edition captures that same shifting character. This is a single malt of rhythm and contrast, where bright red fruit and sea-spray sweetness give way to warming spice and depth. Crafted from lore, inspired by Mull.

A marriage of two Tobermory single malts: one fully matured in Tawny Port casks to bring a dessert-like sweetness of rich red berries, and one finished in Oloroso casks for its signature dry, nutty spice.

Silky and vibrant, with notes of fig, cherry, and chocolate lifted by caramelised orange and a touch of sea breeze.

The Blue Men tale shifts from light to dark and this limited edition whisky follows that same movement. The Tawny Port brings those bright layers of ripe red berries, plum compote and soft citrus, while the Oloroso add the nutty spice, fig and chocolate depth that anchors the story. You also get that gentle coastal breeze running through it - a reminder of where it comes from. For me, it starts silky and playful, then gathers into warming spice and dark fruit, just like the turn in the Blue Men's song.
