TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Coastal peat smoke with caramelised banana, lime zest and vanilla. Green apple, white pepper and a hint of sea spray.

PALATE

Bold smoky spice leads, balanced by grilled pineapple, brine and herbal agave. Black pepper, charred citrus and rich toffee develop through the mid-palate.

FINISH

Long and warming – smouldering peat embers, demerara sweetness, chilli heat and a final twist of lime.

A dynamic marriage of distant sweetness and island smoke, inspired, as always, by Mull.

A rare dual-cask maturation of Caribbean Rum and Mexican Tequila. The result is a whisky of vivid contrast and harmony: maritime peat wrapped in grilled pineapple, ripe mango, and bright citrus. Beneath the fruit lies a thread of earthy agave, lifted by salted vanilla, warm spice and a long, smoke-laden finish shaped by Mull’s briny air.

Ledaig Castaway is a first for us. Bringing rum and tequila casks together with our unmistakeable peated spirit adds an exciting dimension – ripe fruit, citrus and a touch of agave sitting alongside that coastal smoke. It’s bold, a bit unexpected and yet still feels true to the spirit of our distillery.
