The Hebridean Series Expressions
We've taken our popular Tobermory 15 Year Old, first released in 2008, and left the spirit to further mature in Gonzales Byass Oloroso casks. Each yearly release will have an extra year in the sherry casks, creating a really interesting collection for you to enjoy.
The results so far have produced two truly exquisite sherried malts - the Tobermory 23 year old and Tobermory 24 year old. Which expression will be your favourite?
Tobermory 23 Year Old
Nose
Vanilla, ripe oranges, toasted barley and rich fruitcake, with a hint of cocoa
Palate
Obvious sherry influence, salted toffee, vanilla fudge and spicy oak, with candied citrus and floral honey.
Finish
Caramelized walnuts with a subtle salty undercurrent.
Tobermory 24 Year Old
Nose
Delicate citrus notes with caramelised dates, roasted walnuts and rich dark berries.
Palate
Nutmeg and cinnamon beautifully balanced with a salty tang. Sweet notes of blackcurrant jam and vanilla with toasted oak and a hint of cocoa.
Finish
Salted caramel and a hint of hazelnut.
