Filled on the 18th of February 2009, this Ledaig has spent the full 10 years maturing in Bordeaux red wine casks.  The result is a rich fruit and oak dram, balanced deliciously with the signature sweet, peppery smokiness of our peated whisky.



Tasting Notes

Reddish Gold
Rich red wine notes, hints of sweet citrus and rich oak, balanced with the spicy smokiness of Ledaig.
Layered with initial hints of rich red wine, orange and citrus fruits, rich oak and vanilla, leading to a peppery smokiness.
Long and lingering sweet peat.

Our distillery produces the Tobermory gin and two distinct single malts: a non-peated Tobermory and a heavily-peated Ledaig. The two malts are produced using the same stills, wash backs, mash tuns and the same process water but the two are totally different in character due to the malted barley used.
